Mina does not choose a material from a catalog. She encounters it.
In India, in a spice market overwhelmed with scents, she stopped for over an hour in front of a sandalwood stall, fascinated by its density, its warmth, something enveloping and ancient that she couldn't leave. The vendor, intrigued, ended up offering her a few pieces.
This is how some materials enter the Minalys universe: not by a rational decision, but by a sensory obviousness that cannot be manufactured or explained.
