What is perfume extract?
The art of concentration according to Minalys
In the world of fine perfumery, everything begins with a question of concentration. It is this that determines the power, longevity, and depth of a fragrance.
Cologne, light and crisp, contains only about 5% perfume essences. Next come eau de toilette (8%) and eau de parfum (12%), which are more pronounced and enveloping. Perfume, on the other hand, generally reaches between 15 and 20% concentration, offering a richer and more sensual experience.
But at the top of this hierarchy is perfume extract , the noblest and most intense form of olfactory creation. Containing 20% or more—and sometimes well above—it concentrates the most precious raw materials while containing less alcohol. It diffuses closer to the skin, in a rare, almost confidential, olfactory intimacy.
An extract is not sprayed generously: it is deposited, like an invisible jewel, on pulse points — wrists, nape of the neck, décolletage.
At Minalys , we go even further.
Our perfume extracts are concentrated between 25 and 30% , to offer an exceptional olfactory signature , both deep, lasting and faithful to the emotion of its creation.
Each fragrance thus becomes a true sensory work of art, crafted with exacting standards and poetry — a perfume that is not simply worn, but experienced.
